We would like to extend a warm welcome to Mr. Kevin Bryant as our new Automotive High School Principal. 


Congratulations to Raybon Fleming and Sual Lopez for thier 3rd place win in the 2017 Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association's Automotive High School Competition. They advance with 3 other NYC teams to the final's. They will be held on February 14th, 2017. 


The CTE Department is proud to announce Mr. Rothenberg as the UFT's CTE teacher of the year. We are grateful for his many, many years of service.


The AHS Car Shows has always been a success! We are looking to bring it back for Spring 2017. A specials thanks to all of our volunteers and sponsors who have been helping us with this great event.  See you for the Spring 2017 Car Show.

Students final chance to take the ASE Student Certification Exams will be during finals week in June, Study hard or go home.


Congratulations to Seyvon Ondaan for taking 11th place in the State of New York at the Skills USA State Conference Automotive Service Technology Competition on April 23rd-25th!


Congratulations to Matisse 'Ratchet' Edmonds for decisively taking first place at the Skills USA Area 5 (New York City) Basic Automotive Maintenance Competition on March 8th!  If you see Matisse or the rest of the Skills team (Seyvon O., Abasai T. & Juan L.) wish them luck at the State Competition this April!


Congratulations to Mr. Tamassar, the 2013-14 CTE Teacher of the year at AHS!


Thanks to the AHS Troubleshooting teams that competed at this year's GNYADA Auto Skills competition, though they didn't place they will try again at the Skills USA Local Competition!


On October 30th AHS hosted the first Automotive & Transportation Industry Commission.  Leaders from both the business and educational sides of the Automotive Field were in attendance.  Good luck to the Commission in establishing strong industry ties for the improvement in the quality of technical education in NYC! 


AHS Student Interns Christian Guevara, Steve Perez, Juan Lopez & Marl Chancico appeared on ABC 7 evening news to highlight their work at NYC Police Department Garages.  You guys make us proud!


The Fall Car Show at AHS was a big success thanks to everyone involved!  We raised nearly $900 for student programs here at AHS!  We also fullfilled our goal of packing the lot, more than 80 cars showed up, and unfortunately we had to close the gates in the early afternoon.  Next time it is hopefully on to a bigger venue in McCarren Park.


The inaugural AHS Classics & Customs car show was held on June 15th 2013.  Thanks to all of the vehicle owners and club members who came to show off their rides!  24 cars attended, hopefully we can double that number for the Fall Show.


Congratulations to all of the students who became ASE Student Certified Technicians during the Spring Testing session.  28 new certificates were issued bringing this year's total to 48!  Keep up the good work!


Thanks to DCAS, and all of the people at the various city fleet service garages, for hosting us at the Annual Vehicle and Equipment Show on May 30th at Flushing Meadows Park Corona.


A special thanks to Will Castro and everyone at the Will Castro Foundation for hosting the Pit Crew at their Car Show/Fast and the Furious 6 Movie Premier on May 24th.


Thanks to Line-X and XXL Autobody for helping out the Pit Crew on their 1968 Project truck.  The Crew was at the Bronx based shop to help prep and spray the frame of our future show stopper.


Congratulations to Bryan Jainarain (10th in New York in Automotive Service Skills) and Shane Power (11th in Job Interview Skills) who competed at the Skills USA NY State Conference April 24th -26th in Syracuse.
